Air bag problems spur more recallsDETROIT — The problem with exploding Takata air bag inflators continues to spread, now hitting a small number of 2015 GM cars and SUVs.GM is recalling more than 400 vehicles because the side air bag inflators could rupture and send shrapnel into drivers and passengers, according to the company and documents posted Saturday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.The latest recall covers certain 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, Malibu and Camaro vehicles as well as the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS and GMC Terrain.

Sonatas, Elantras recalled for springsNEW YORK — Hyundai is recalling 27,700 cars, including Elantras and Sonatas, in the U.S. because salt damage could cause the front coil springs to fracture. The cars include Elantras made from November 2010 through March 2011 and Sonatas made from December 2009 through February 2010 that were sold or are registered in the so-called salt belt, including Pennsylvania.
