12:38 a.m. Friday — Joseph W. Powers III, 31, of Waxhaw, N.C., was arrested for driving under the influence on Linsdale Drive.3 p.m. Thursday — A boy, who police did not identify, was arrested for taking a car from the Butler High School without the vehicle owner's permission. AButler police officer stopped the boy driving the vehicle in the city. Township police charged the boy in juvenile court for unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving without a license.

Sunday — Shawn Howard Clark, 35, of Butler is listed as a missing person after he was last seen by family members at 6 p.m. Friday.Clark reportedly left his Grant Avenue home to shoot pool but did not return. Family members looked but could not find Clark,Anyone with information about the man's whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Saturday — A1993 Ford Taurus was struck by a train at the railroad crossing at Hays and Fenelton roads in Clearfield Township. Police said the driver of the car, owned by Linda Mae Suttle of Butler, fled the crash.Police ask anyone with information about the crash to call them at 724-284-8100.1:20 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Ashley Lotz, 19, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, and Cale McConnell, 23, of Hadley, Mercer County, collided on Route 68 in Forward Township.The crash spun McConnell's car around and into a motorcycle driven by Elmer Keck, 56, of Baden, Beaver County. Keck, who was wearing a helmet, laid down the cycle, which slid 129 feet. Apolice report did not indicate if anyone was injured.3:35 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Angela Kretzler, 35, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Walter Fleeger, 66, of West Sunbury collided on Route 38 in Summit Township. Kretzler was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.10:24 a.m. Thursday — Sally Seibert, 78, of Saxonburg was cited for a stop sign violation after she turned in front of a 2000 International Harvester tractor on Route 228 in Clinton Township.After colliding with the tractor, driven by Gerard Lieb, 49, of Irwin, Westmoreland County, Seibert's SUV struck an embankment.Thursday — An Emlenton woman, who police did not identify, is suspected of taking personal items including a handgun from the Windy Point Road home of Mervin Byler in Marion Township. The theft, which occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., remains under investigation.Thursday — Two unknown thieves were caught on a surveillance camera breaking into a van at Wagner Electric on Stanford Road in Muddy Creek Township. The suspects stole about $300 worth of black insulated copper wiring on a spool.One of the thieves may have been injured since blood was found at the scene of the crime that occurred Wednesday or Thursday. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — Someone between Dec. 21 and Wednesday stole a cement finishing tool from a Leasureville Road home in Winfield Township. Brent McCoy of Grove City owns the stolen property.
