BELLE VERNON — A tractor-trailer split open after hitting a barrier, spilling Twizzlers candy onto Interstate 70.

State police say the truck crashed around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday near the Fayette City exit in Rostraver.

Hundreds of boxes and loose packages of the strawberry and licorice candy covered the road.

Officials say fog may have contributed to the crash. No serious injuries were reported.

Rostraver is about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh.
