Man accused of imprisonment
GREENSBURG — A Western Pennsylvania man has been charged with holding a woman captive for several days and assaulting her with a hammer and bleach.
Glenn Whittier, 43, of Latrobe is charged in Westmoreland County with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, unlawful restraint and harassment.
A Pittsburgh newspaper reported that a woman alleged that she was held at Whittier’s home from Wednesday until Saturday morning, when she was able to escape.
Authorities said she told police that Whittier beat her repeatedly with a hammer, pulled out a “large amount” of her hair and poured bleach into her eyes and on her wounds.
