Krause

Rachel M. Krause, 85, of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, died Tuesday at her home.

Born, Jan. 9, 1922, in Hundred, W.Va., she was the daughter of John W. and Florence L. Auten Bissett.

She was a graduate of Hundred High School, attended business school in Alliance, Ohio, and had been a teller at Dollar Savings Bank in New Castle.

Mrs. Krause enjoyed gardening, storytelling, bird watching and cooking. She was a Presbyterian.

Surviving are five sons, Jeffery R. Krause of Sugarcreek Township, Phillip R. Krause of Chicora, Frohn R. Krause and his wife, Marcia, of Denver, N.C., and Rolland E. and Jonathan R. Krause, both of Sugarcreek Township; a daughter, Mrs. William (Laurie R.) Dickey of Clarion; a brother, Fred Bissett of Aurora, Colo.; and a sister, Lillian Catlet of East Rochester, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Richard Paul Krause, whom she married July 13, 1946, died Aug. 8, 2003. She also was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

<B>KRAUSE </B>— Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home </B>105 Fourth St., East Brady. A funeral service for Rachel M. Krause, who died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2007, and a memorial service for Richard P. Krause will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Higgins, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, officiating. Burial will be at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
