Edward Campbell

Edward A. Campbell, 67, of Slippery Rock passed away at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1943, in Wilkinsburg to William Walker Campbell and Elizabeth Harvey Campbell.

A graduate of Slippery Rock High School, he attended meat cutting school and worked as a meat cutter for 43 years at Flowline in New Castle. He enjoyed hunting and collecting lighthouses. He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Worth Township, where he was a deacon.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Campbell, who he married Aug. 21, 1965; his two daughters, Lisa Klindienst and her husband, Edward, of Slippery Rock, and Jamie Byers and her husband, Edward, of Harrisville; his son, Ed Campbell and his wife, Tracy, of Slippery Rock; his stepbrother, Charles Cline and his wife, Doreen, of Harrisville; and his three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Devon.

<B>CAMPBELL</B> — Friends and family of Edward A. Campbell, who died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, will be received at the <B>smith funeral home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. The service will be Monday at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by the Rev. Harvey Thomas, retired.
