Robert A. "Fergie" Ferguson, 66, of Butler passed away at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Sept. 22, 1944, in Butler, the son of the late Arthur M. and Dorothy (Webber) Ferguson.

Fergie was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he taught Sunday school, sang in the senior choir and was president of the congregation for two years.

He belonged to the Butler Elks 170.

He graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1967 with master's in education. He taught in the classroom and was a computer teacher for the Butler School District for 35 years.

Surviving are his wife, Anne E. (Pennycook) Ferguson, who he married Aug. 27, 1967; his daughter, Mrs. Christopher (Heather Anne) Michel of Renfrew; his granddaughter, Nicole Patricia Michel, and his granddog, Piper.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

<B>FERGUSON</B> — Friends of Robert A. "Fergie" Ferguson, who died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Alden Towberman officiating. Interment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made to VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001, or to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W.
