LaRue Cypher, 83, of Cabot passed away Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Oct. 14, 1927, in St. Charles, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Scott and Grace (McSparrin) Painter.

LaRue was a graduate of the Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital for 20 years.

She was a member of the St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville and also was a member of the Cadet Corps while in nurse training.

LaRue enjoyed traveling, crafts and spending time with her family. She was a much loved mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her loving children, Mary Ellen (Douglas) Bergbigler of Cabot, Kathryn (John) Smith of Cabot, Anna (Bruce) Crider of Butler, Lewis (Linda) Cypher of Butler, Peter (Patricia) Cypher of Escondido, Calif., Gregory (Deborah) Cypher of Cabot, Teresa (David) Buss of Cabot and Betty (Kevin) Robinson of Cabot; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joann Bowersox of New Bethlehem; and a special niece, Helen Nunamaker of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Cypher, who passed away May 4, 1987; and by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

<B>CYPHER</B> Friends of LaRue Cypher, who died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</b>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at the St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Herman, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ward Stakem, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the U.S. Olympics or the Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
