Walter Wayne Richards, 80, of Grove City, formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at his home.

He was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Slippery Rock, the son of the late Donald Jay Richards and Ethel (Hesselgesser) Richards of Slippery Rock.

Surviving are his mother, Ethel Bright Richards of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Caroline Gay) DeMarsh of Grove City, Peggy Jo Richards of Grove City, and Mrs. Mark (Andrea) Isacco of Grove City; a son, Donald W. Richards of West Sunbury; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Holmann of Slippery Rock and Mrs. Larry (Karen) Frampton of Harrisville.

He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Betty Ruthe Richards, who died Feb. 26, 2008.
