Saxonburg seeks new officials
SAXONBURG — The borough is looking for a few good people to fill vacancies on various boards.
Borough Councilwoman Pamela Bauman was elected mayor in November, so council must appoint a successor.
Council could fill the vacancy as early as the Jan. 6 meeting.
As of Thursday, the borough had two applicants for the seat.
Those wishing to apply for the council seat should contact borough secretary Linda Kovacik to obtain an Affidavit of Residency, which needs to be submitted with the letter of interest.
Council also must fill Bauman’s seat on the Saxonburg Historic Restoration Commission.
There also are vacancies on the borough planning commission, the South Butler Community Library board and the Saxonburg Area Authority board.
All of the seats require borough residency. Applicants should submit letters of interest no later than noon Dec. 31.
