Donald Jennings
Donald D. Jennings, 93, of Evans City died Saturday.
Born Jan. 25, 1917, in Chicora, he was the son of the late Lewis T. and Wardie (Donaldson) Jennings.
Mr. Jennings was a member of the Old Union Presbyterian Church in Mars, the Carpenters Union, and the Evans City Senior Center.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and he retired from Step-Saver Kitchens in Evans City.
He was an avid football fan, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his cousin, Gerald Donaldson and his wife, Jo, of Butler; a sister, Connie Fitzner of Michigan; a close friend, Ed Clouse and his family of Butler; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wardie (Donaldson) Jennings, on April 30, 2000; and by two sisters.
<B>JENNINGS</B> — The family of Donald D. Jennings, who died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, will welcome friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 116 E. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will be at noon Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter C. de Vries, his church pastor, officiating.
