Mary Olive Scott, 85, of New Castle, formerly of Clay Township, passed away Tuesday at the Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle.

She was born June 21, 1925, in Colver, the daughter of the late Steele Waltimire and Mary (Holmes) Bush.

Mary was a member of the Barnestone Ministries in New Bedford and the Western Pennsylvania Country Music Association. She enjoyed square dancing.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Fowler and her husband, Kenneth, of Clearwater, S.C.; two sons, Harvey A. Scott Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Slippery Rock, and Lowell Scott and his wife, Janice, of New Castle; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dwayne “Bud” Waltimire of Colver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. Scott Sr., one daughter, Sandra Noring; and one brother, Lawrence Waltimire.
