Rita Duncan of Harrisville entered into her Kingdom of God on Wednesday, the same day as her birth 58 years ago.

Born in Ellwood in 1952, she was the daughter of James Leroy Buzard and Thelma Barbera Buzard.

Rita graduated from Seneca Valley High School. She also attended Butler Community College and became a certified nurse assistant.

She was married to Terry Duncan on July 12, 1997, in Wright City Mo., and he survives.

Rita retired from VA Butler Healthcare in Butler. After retirement, she continued to care for others by working in home health care.

Rita was a member of the Barkeyville United Methodist Church, teaching Junior Youth on Wednesday nights. Her faith in God was a strong hold in her life.

She was very active with distributing meals to shut ins.

Rita was an active member in the Polk Quilters Guild and the Wesley Grange.

Her door and heart were always open to anyone who needed help. Rita had a passion for creating just about anything, including draperies, wedding cakes and floral arrangements for the church. Her greatest creations were her tremendous faith and the lasting impression she left on all of our hearts.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, five brothers, six children, 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

<B> DUNCAN</B> — A memorial service for Rita Duncan, who died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, will take place at the Barkeyville United Methodist Church on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. with the pastor Carol Hickman officiating. Interment will take place at the Barkeyville Methodist Cemetery.<B>The Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B> in Clintonville is in charge of the arrangements.The family suggests in lieu of flowers a donation in Rita’s name be made to the American Cancer Society, 10 W.
