Sandra Lee “Sandy” Yost, 61, of Lakevue Drive passed away at 3:20 p.m. Sunday in her home.

Born June 3, 1949, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harold Mathieson and the late Dora Maude Heath Mathieson.

Mrs. Yost worked at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh as a registered nurse, retiring in 1979.

She was a member of the Butler Country Club.

Mrs. Yost interests included horseback riding, flying, scuba diving, snow skiing, medicine, her close relationship with girlfriends and motherhood.

Mrs. Yost is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles Thomas Yost, who she married Aug. 11, 1973; her father, Harold “Red” Mathieson of Hermitage; one son, Scott C. Yost of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Dr. Carolyn Yost Weisert of Columbus, Ohio; one grandchild, Collin Christian Weisert; three sisters, Carol Medvec of Hermitage, Shirley Fruit of Rancho Murrieta, Calif., and Beverly Nespor of Sarasota, Fla; six nieces, and two nephews.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Yost was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Mathieson.

<B>YOST</B> — Friends of Sandra Lee “Sandy” Yost, who died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dr. J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler Memorial Hospital, 911 E.
