Victor Carl Shaffer
Victor Carl Shaffer, 93, of Brookville died Monday at Brookville Hospital.
Born April 27, 1917, in Butler, he was a son of the late Lewis P. and Zula (Shawkey) Shaffer.
He was an Army Air Force veteran, serving during World War II as an airplane and engine mechanic.
Victor married the former Christine H. Santoro on Aug. 4, 1966. She survives.
He was a soil conservationist in the Allegheny National Forest.
He loved the outdoors, nature, fishing and hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mildred Albert of Emlenton; and several nieces and nephews in Butler.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Victor David Shaffer, and a brother, Lewis P. Shaffer.
