Bus, drivers union rejects contract
PITTSBURGH — The union representing 2,200 bus and light-rail drivers and other employees of the Pittsburgh area’s transit agency has voted to reject a proposed four-year contract.
The Port Authority of Allegheny County and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 85 announced the tentative deal last week. The union membership rejected the contract on Monday, however.
