WES CRAIG (Slippery Rock) scored a goal to help the Mercyhurst- North East men's soccer team (3-0-1) defeat Lorain County (Ohio) Community College, 4-0, recently.•
SARAH LACY (Slippery Rock University) was named PSACWest Women's Soccer Player of the Week. The senior goalkeeper made five saves in a 2-0 win over Indiana (Pa.), then stopped 19 shots in a 3-2 double-overtime triumph over Gannon.•
GARRETT CICHOWITZ (Grove City College) was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Runner of the Week. He placed seventh in a 131-runner field at the Waynesburg Cross Country Invitational, posting a time of 26 minutes, 46 seconds.•
JULIA SEWARD (Grove City College) was named PACWomen's Runner of the Week after winning the individual title in the 141-runner field at the Waynesburg Invitational. Her time was 22:17 for the 6K course.•
TAMARA NATIONS (Grove City College) was named PAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week. She didn't lose a game against Bethany (W.Va.), winning her singles match 6-0, 6-0 and teaming with Stacy Moon for an 8-0 doubles triumph.•
CHRIS HALEY (Butler), a sophomore kicker and punter at Grove City College, was named PACSpecial Teams Player of the Week. He booted field goals of 22 and 30 yards in the Wolverines' 19-10 win over Carnegie Mellon and averaged 37 yards on five punts, twice putting the ball inside the 20-yard line.•
KAYLEE SMITH (Slippery Rock University), a freshman outside hitter, was named PSACWest Women's Volleyball Player of the Week. She recorded a team-high 41 kills, four service aces, 27 digs and five blocks to lead SRUto four wins.•
BEN HORNER (Butler), a sophomore on the Duquesne University men's soccer team, was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. Horner, the MVPof the Duquesne Invitational, scored the game-winning goal and added two assists in a 4-1 triumph over Marshall Friday, then had the game-tying goal on a penalty kick in a 2-1 overtime victory over Lafayette Saturday.
