Olive M. Lane
Olive M. Lane, 94, of Butler died Thursday afternoon surrounded by her family at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
Born Aug. 2, 1916, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Mabel Mae (Simpson) Koch.
She was a homemaker and mother. She liked animals and playing the organ.
Along with her husband, Robert, she was a foster parent and was always known for her quick comeback lines.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Adams and her husband, Paul, and Linda L. Albert and her husband, Don, all of Butler; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Lane, who she married May 15, 1936, and he died April 24, 1991; two sisters; and one brother.
<B>LANE</B> — Friends of Olive M. Lane, who died Thursday, March 24, 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Panther, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Butler, officiating. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
