Roy E. Reed
In Rememberance of Roy E. Reed
July 15, 1970 — April 14, 2010
One year ago our hearts were filled with woe
As the angels came and took you away
To a golden mansion in the sky
Where you’ll never hurt and never cry again.
You’re with our Lord and Savior there
Surrounded by light and joy
He’s made your body whole again
And calls you His son, Roy.
Your pain and sadness are forever gone.
Your worries are no more.
Peace and love fill you as you’ve never known before.
While our hearts rejoice at you’re homecoming
And knowing you’re free from this place
They also break with sorrow
And a longing to see your face,
To hear your voice, to touch your hand
But we can’t.
All we have are memories
Of the good times and the bad,
Of what a loving son, brother, husband, nephew, uncle and friend
We were blessed enough to have in you.
We took you for granted
And sometimes misunderstood
How you showed your love
And tried to do good for us all.
We miss you dearly, Roy
And love you with all our hearts.
Although you’re with the Lord now
We’ll never be far apart
For our memories of you live on
And keep you close by
Until our family reunion
With Jesus in the sky.
