William S. Plummer Jr.
William S. Plummer Jr., 83, of Butler passed away Sunday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1928, in Kinsman, Ohio, the son of the late William S. Plummer Sr. and Isabelle (Williams) Plummer.
William had attended Summit United Presbyterian Church.
He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed golfing.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 117 in Butler and in Zelienople.
He retired as a manager for U.S. Steel in Saxonburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Amy and Tom Mackey of Gibsonia; a son, Andrew and Mary Plummer of Butler; five grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Laura Plummer of Butler, Bryan Plummer of Butler, Patty Plummer of Cranberry Township, Tommy and Heather Mackey of Gibsonia; and a sister, Ruby Bagamery of Stuart, Fla.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Lois A. (Jenkins) Plummer, who died Aug. 1, 2004; and three sisters.
