Roy E. Goehring, 84, of Harmony died Thursday while under the care of the Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony.

Born Oct. 7, 1926, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Amos and Elizabeth (Lutz) Goehring.

Mr. Goehring proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition, he was a member of the Grace Church in Harmony and American Legion Post 474 in Zelienople.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth H. (Heberling) Goehring; two loving daughters, Kathy S. Peffer and her husband, Gary, and Marcia K. Hodge and her husband, Gerard; a sister, Ruth Green and her husband, James; four loving grandchildren; and four loving great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Goehring; and sister, Evelyn Bintrim.
