Laura “Jean” McKinney Kriley, 88, of Butler, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Concordia at Cabot.

She was born Oct. 2, 1937, in Clarion County, the daughter of the late George Lee and Sarah (Corbett) Holter.

Jean was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir, and later attended St. Paul Catholic Church. She had been a member of the Satellite Sounds Barbershop Chorus. She had been a registered nurse for the VNA for 15 years.

Surviving are four sons, David (Brenda) McKinney, of Venus, Christopher (Annette) McKinney, of Cranberry Township, William J. (Marilyn) McKinney, of Norwalk, Ohio, and Paul (Mandy) McKinney, of East Butler; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Edward R. McKinney and Leonard Kriley; and one brother, James B. Holter.

MCKINNEY KRILEY — Friends of Laura “Jean” McKinney Kriley, who died Saturday, July 11, 2026, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.

Private interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Chicora.
