I. Julia Squier

I. Julia Squier, 91, formerly of Butler, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, in Pittsburgh.

Born April 22, 1935, in Bellevue, she was the daughter of the late William C. Squier and Isabelle B. Anderson Squier.

Julia was a faithful member of Grace Church of Harmony, where she taught Sunday school and the Joy Bells Sunday School class, was a former choir member and led Bible study. She graduated from Penn State University in 1955. She worked at West Penn Power as a home economist, then in the accounting department.

She taught several classes at First Baptist in Butler. She also taught Release Time classes through Child Evangelism of Butler County. Julia was also a member of the Photograph Club of Butler County and the Moniteau Extension Homemakers.

Julia is survived by her dear friends and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

SQUIER — A memorial service in celebration of the life of I. Julia Squier, who died Thursday, July 9, 2026, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony.

Julia will be laid to rest privately at Butler County Memorial Park.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
