Sharon L. Scherder, 64, of Butler passed away at 3:45 p.m. Friday at the Benbrook Medical Center.

She was born March 21, 1947, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Clair Hazen and the late Stella (Wagner) Hazen.

Sharon was a manager at a McDonald’s Restaurant, and she also was a health aide. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Becky (Dan) Toomey of Butler, Cindy (Mike) Kamerer of Butler and Jen (Tom) Frye of Butler; four grandchildren, Daniel “Zachary” Toomey, Shane Toomey, Breanna Kamerer and Garrett Kamerer; and one brother, Clair (Ruby) Hazen of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Paul Scherder, who died Sept. 10, 1999, and two sisters.

Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev.
