Betty J. Girard, 88, of Butler passed away Saturday morning at her home.

She was born Aug. 7, 1922.

Betty was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Michael R. Girard of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Lalle and her husband, Richard, of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Cheryl Rensel and her husband, Dave, of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Johnston of Butler; four grandchildren, Ryan and Dustin Lalle of Pittsburgh, and Eric and Alyssa Rensel of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Peter Girard, who passed away in February, 2007; a son, Brian L. Girard, who passed away in August 2002; one brother; and one sister.

<B>GIRARD — </B>At the request of Betty J. Girard, who died Saturday, July 30, 2011, a private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Michael the Archangel R.C. Church at 10 a.m. today with the Rev. James Dolan officiating.
