Edward Cypher
Edward S. Cypher, 84, of Cabot passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Quality Life Services — Sarver.
Born July 12, 1941, in Cabot, he was the son of Edward J. Cypher and Beatrice George Cypher.
Ed served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a tool and die maker for Penn United Technology. He was a member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Church in Saxonburg, and a member of the VFW Post 7376. He was an avid fisherman of Lake Erie, where he had a boat with his brothers. He enjoyed his Camp Eriez in Erie on the lake. He was a huge dog lover, and above all he loved spending time his family.
Surviving are the love of his life, Dixie L. Cypher, whom he married July 12, 1968; two daughters, Shannon (Don) Hart of Derry, Pa., and Kate (Ross) Ringler of Ligonier; three grandchildren, Evelyn, Cypher and Lorelei; two siblings, Ella Kern and Michael Cypher, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Steve Cypher and Larry Cypher.
CYPHER — Friends of Edward S. Cypher, who died Saturday, July 11, 2026, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg. A funeral service will follow with associate minister Jeannine Sanford officiating.
