Leanore M. Elder Dunlap, 90, of Springdale passed away Sunday in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born June 13, 1921, to the late John and Pansey Barr in Rimersburg. She lived most of her life in Springdale as well as in Parker.

Mrs. Dunlap was a member of Springdale United Methodist Church and Parker Methodist Church.

She was affiliated with the Fraternal Order of the Eastern Star and was a past officer of the Worthy Matron.

Leanore enjoyed her flower gardens, canning and cooking and also visiting with her neighbors.

She had worked for the former Pozell's Market in Springdale, Hart's Department Store in New Kensington and for the Allegheny County Bio-Statistic Department.

Surviving are a daughter, Diana (George) Colley of Massachusetts; a son, Richard Elder of Missouri; a son, William Elder of Springdale; a sister, Delores Barger of Rimersburg; a brother, Calvin Barr of Arizona; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Elder, and a brother, Jack Barr.

<B>DUNLAP</B> — Friends of Leanore M. Elder Dunlap, who died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, will be received at <B>CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME</B>, 801 Pittsburgh St., Springdale, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Services will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
