Florence Lucille Klingensmith
Florence Lucille Klingensmith, 96, of Butler passed away at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday in the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Oakland Township, to the late Arthur Isaac Zimmerman and Edna Ethel (Moore) Zimmerman.
Mrs. Klingensmith was a member of the New Beginnings Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the Unionville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and she enjoyed going to the Tanglewood Center.
Mrs. Klingensmith loved traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Klingensmith is survived by one son, Raymond B. Klingensmith of Butler; one daughter, Joyce Hammond of Butler; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Heath of Grove City; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Klingensmith, who she married May 21, 1934, and who passed away Sept. 8, 1986; one daughter, Carol June; and one brother, Ray Zimmerman.
<B>KLINGENSMITH </B>— Friends of Florence Lucille Klingensmith, who died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Perkins of the New Beginnings Free Methodist Church officiating.
