Alfred K. Jespersen
Alfred K. Jespersen, 91, of Evans City passed away Tuesday afternoon in the Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born in Arenoal, Norway, Jan. 20, 1920, he was the son of the late Torborga Jespersen.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Jespersen was a plumber and steamfitter, working out of Union 47.
He served in World War II as a private first class in the U.S. Army. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and had been a member of the Ski Training Patrol.
Mr. Jespersen was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine “Kit” I. Young Jespersen, on May 2, 2005.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan (David) Roberts of Evans City and Carol Ann Potts of Renfrew; fours sons, Donald of Galeton and David (Phyllis), Andrew (Kirsten) and Richard (Barbara) Jespersen, all of Evans City; one stepbrother, Victor Rosenvinge of Norway; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
<B>JESPERSEN</B> — Relatives and friends of Alfred K. Jespersen, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, will be received at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
