Eugene Allen 'Gene' Pannette
Eugene Allen “Gene” Pannette, 61, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Johnsonburg, Elk County, died Sunday at the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.
Born Dec. 10, 1949, in Ridgway, Elk County, he was the son of the late Eugene and Betty (Emmett) Pannette.
Mr. Pannette attended the Presbyterian Church of Portersville.
In his earlier years, he worked as a mechanic. He was a former U.S. Treasury agent and operated his own computer and consulting business.
Mr. Pannette was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Johnsonburg and enjoyed playing the organ and hunting.
He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Pannette of Cranberry Township; two sons, David Allen (Regina Alonzo) Pannette of Oak Grove, Ky., and Kevin Oliver Pannette of Cranberry Township; a stepson, Richard Dietz of Portersville; three grandsons, Aiden Fedell of Pittsburgh and Mark Paulo Pannette and Allen Generay Pannette, both of the Philippines; and also a step-granddaughter, Carmen Dietz of Portersville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Theora Ruth Pannette, who died in 2004.
