Ula Mae 'Dolly' Vollrath
Ula Mae “Dolly” Vollrath, 96, of Harmony died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Born Nov. 26, 1914, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Emma Herr Blackburn.
Mrs. Vollrath was a member of Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, Zelienople, and a life member of Women of the Moose, Harmony.
Known as the best pie baker in the entire tri-state area, she baked pies for the Kaufman House, the Zelienople Restaurant and retired from Chubby Chuck's restaurant.
She is survived by two sons, Phillip L. Vollrath of Alabama and Joel K. (Deborah) Vollrath of Cranberry Township; a daughter, Darla S. Sapienza of Harmony; seven grandchildren, Vicki Baldree, Phillip Vollrath, David, Michael and Jennifer Sapienza, Shelley Anne Dranko and Joel P. Vollrath; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Rolland Vollrath, who died Jan 22, 1985, and her brother, Roy Blackburn.
