Dwight C. Burtner

Dwight C. Burtner, 48, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.

He was born Jan. 16, 1963, in Butler to Harry Burtner and the late Jennie Taylor Burtner.

Dwight enjoyed hunting, cooking and playing video games. He was a member of the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church.

In addition to his father, Dwight is survived by one brother, Dean Burtner; four sisters, Kathy Hamilton and her husband, Norm, Connie Cypher and her husband, Randy, Raylene Miller and her husband, John, and Colleen Borcz and her husband, John; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

BURTNER — Friends of Dwight C. Burtner, who died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the

Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Butler. Funeral services will be immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Kurt Knobel of the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Rockdale Road, Butler, PA 16002.
