Mary M. Lehman Scheidemantle
Mary M. Lehman Scheidemantle, 93, of Zelienople, formerly of Portersville, passed away with her family by her side on Friday.
Born May 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Clyde B. and Jennie (Adams) Lehman.
Mary married her beloved husband, Lawrence A. Scheidemantle, on Sept. 28, 1940. They were united as one for 57 years.
Mary was a long time member of the Grace Church in Harmony and an active member of the Grange. She worked as a cook for Meals on Wheels for more than 15 years and at several restaurants in the area after selling their farm. Mary enjoyed sewing and spending time with her precious family.
The family would like to extend their thanks to GeriCare in New Castle for the love and care they provided Mary during her time there.
She is survived by four nephews, Robert Scheidemantle and his wife, Doris, of Zelienople, Charles Lehman and his wife, Jean, of New Castle, William Lehman and his wife, Barbara, of Harmony and Ronald Lehman and his wife, Debbie, of Butler; three nieces, Betty Jordan and her husband, Al, of Zelienople, Majorie Weitzel and her husband, Ron, of Woodstock, Ga., and Susan Gillgrist and her husband, Robert of Summerville, S.C.; and one cousin, Donna Lewis and her husband, Charles, of Zelienople.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence A. Scheidemantle, who passed away on Jan. 18, 1997; three brothers, Paul E. Lehman, Robert J. Lehman and Dean Russell Lehman; and three nephews, Richard Lehman, Robert Lehman and Wayne Lehman.
SCHEIDEMANTLE — The family of Mary M. Lehman Scheidemantle, who passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Friends will also gather from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Grace Church in Harmony.
