ATLANTA — The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed right-hander Jeanmar Gomez on the 15-day disabled list with an inflamed and strained right forearm and optioned outfielder Alex Presley to Triple-A Indianapolis.

The Pirates recalled right-hander Jared Hughes and selected the contract of right-hander Ryan Reid, each from Indianapolis, before Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

Presley was recalled from Indianapolis last Friday and is hitting .357 in eight games.
