Elmer A. Caldwell

Elmer A. Caldwell, 94, of Penn Hills died Thursday.

He was the dear husband of the late Wilda K. Caldwell, the devoted companion of Minnie Sum; the loving father of Susan L. Celedonia and Debra C. (Ron) Kribbs; the beloved grandfather of Karl and Alex Kribbs; the brother of Melvin H. Caldwell, Eva Campbell; and the late Harry G. and James Caldwell.

He was a longtime member of the Apostles Lutheran Church, the New Castle Country Music Association, the Verona Lodge 548 F&AM, the Dravosburg American Legion and the Parker VFW.

He proudly served his country during World War II as a Marine.

Elmer retired with over 30 years of work for General Motors in West Mifflin.

<B>CALDWELL</B> — Friends and relatives of Elmer A. Caldwell, who died Thursday, March 17, 2011, will be received Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the <B>BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES</B>, 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont.A Masonic service will be Sunday at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Military Connections, 312 Auburn Street, PA, 15235.
