Schmid

Linda L. Schmid, 81, of Butler, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026, at her home.

Born Sept. 19, 1944, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Herbert Hayden and Margaret Abram Hayden.

Linda had worked as a CNA for St. Barnabas, retiring in 2012. She was a member of New Life Christian Ministries in Saxonburg. Linda enjoyed taking care of everyone, supporting her daughters though all of their activities and had been very involved in the Knoch Band Boosters.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth F. Schmid, whom she married Aug. 10, 1967; two daughters, Tracey Lee Schmid, of Pittsburgh and Michele Lynn (Maurice Smith) Schmid, of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents and was the last surviving of nine siblings.

SCHMID — Friends of Linda L. Schmid, who died Thursday, June 25, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 29, at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Fahnestock officiating.

Interment will follow in Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
