Gary L. Knauff Sr., 82, of Fombell, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Born Feb. 6, 1944, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Floyd and Marjorie Knauff.

Gary was born and raised as a devoted member of St. Peter’s Reformed Church. He was an elder with the church and loved to help them count money. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Gary spent his time cutting wood, fishing, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially the game 3’s. Gary participated in archery competitions through his sportsman club. His passion for archery extended to hunting and collecting arrowheads in area cornfields.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Shirley Knauff; his children, Gary L. (Heather) Knauff Jr. and Andy (Jennifer) Knauff; his grandchildren, Krystal (Zack), Michael (Arielle), Matthew (Kassidee) and Alexander (Kelana); his great-grandchildren, Layla, Ava, Zachary and Elliot; and his special sister-in-law, Susan K. Fenwick.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by Don Knauff; and Barb Grubich.

KNAUFF — Friends and family of Gary L. Knauff Sr., who died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at St. Peter’s Reformed Church, 320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Military honors will be accorded.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, Zelienople.
