5th probable swine flu case in Pa. discovered

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Health said it now suspects a fifth person in the state of having contracted swine flu.

The Department of Health said today that the 28-year-old Montgomery County man has not traveled in the past month and does not know of any contact he has had with an ill person.

Officials say the Lower Merion Township resident became sick Tuesday and is listed as a probable case of swine flu.

A more advanced test is required to confirm the presence of swine flu.

The Department of Health is awaiting test results from a federal laboratory in Atlanta on four others suspected of having swine flu.

All are from Philadelphia or Montgomery County.

The department said it is doing 20 to 30 tests a day for swine flu.
