Butler Twp. PoliceTuesday — Police charged Daniel S. Yingwane, 29, of Cranberry Township with drunken driving stemming from a one-vehicle accident about 6:40 p.m. Dec. 24 on Route 8 south.In addition to driving under the influence, Yingwane is charged with disregarding traffic lanes.

Grove City Police2:18 a.m. Sunday — Michael Lee King, 43, was caught with suspected drug contraband after police were called to his home in the 400 block of Erie Street stemming from a harassment call. While at the apartment, officers found drug-related items. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.3:41 a.m. Saturday — Police arrested two men after a motion alarm sent officers to Cooper Industrial Commons on Lincoln Avenue. Both suspects, Benjamin L. Craft IV, 23, of East Palestine, Ohio, and Ethan C. Taylor, 18, of New Castle, are charged with defiant trespass.

State Police, Butler12:30 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown vandal slashed three tires on vehicles that were parked in the driveway of a home on Amherst Drive in Center Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Monday — Police charged Jason D. Bieber, 34, of Clay Township with stealing two gold rings and a gold chain necklace from Heidi Jo Bieber's home in the 400 block of Claytonia Road in Clay Township.Bieber allegedly took the jewelry while residing at Heidi Bieber's house, according to court documents, which did not specify the relationship between the accused and victim.The defendant sold the stolen property at Golden Dreams Jewelers in Center Township. Bieber is seen on store surveillance video selling the items, police said. He later admitted to the crime, documents said.He is charged with theft and receiving stolen property, both first-degree misdemeanors.In a separate case, police Friday charged Bieber with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a suspected heroin overdose last month at his home in the 600 block of Beaver Dam Road.Emergency crews were called to the home about 6 a.m. Dec. 5 after the defendant overdosed in a bathroom, where police and paramedics found a hypodermic needle on the sink counter.Bieber confessed to injecting heroin with the needle, court documents said.Monday — George L. Miller III, 44, of Jefferson Township was charged with drunken driving in connection with a one-vehicle crash last spring in Clinton Township.Police said Miller drove away after the wreck on Brewer Road but a witness provided a license plate number of the sport utility he was driving. When police got to the suspect's house they found him standing next to the SUV.Miller, who admitted to being the driver in the crash, smelled of a “strong odor” of alcohol while speaking to police, court documents said. He acknowledged to drinking before the wreck.“Miller related that he did not want to do field sobriety tests because he knew he was drunk,” according to a police affidavit.His self-assessment proved correct, documents said, when a breath test at the police barracks showed his blood-alcohol was 0.186 percent, or more than double the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.Miller is charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.9:21 a.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Barbara A. Horstman, 68, of Slippery Rock rolled over on Hungarian Road in Cherry Township. The accident happened when the SUV went off the road and struck an embankment before rolling onto its driver's side.

State Police, FranklinMonday — An unknown thief stole two global positioning system devices and a container of coin change from an unlocked tractor-trailer in the parking lot at Kenworth of Pennsylvania on Route 308 in Clinton Township, Venango County.The theft happened between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Monday. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 814-676-6596.

State Police, Kittanning11:48 a.m. Monday — A 29-year-old woman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 near Exit 19 in North Buffalo Township. Police did not identify the woman, from Homer City, Indiana County, who was found with 37 bags of suspected heroin.She consented to a blood test and charges are pending toxicology tests, a police report said.

State Police, Clarion5:53 a.m. Thursday — A Michigan trucker was hurt when his tractor-trailer crashed and rolled over on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. Kevin Palmer, 37, of Flint, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Clarion Hospital with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

State Police, Mercer5:50 p.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Lorenzo H. Flores, 49, of Grove City and William E. Gramlich III, 37, of Slippery Rock collided on Route 58 just east of Orchard Drive in Pine Township, Mercer County.

State Police, New Castle6:34 a.m. Tuesday — A snow-covered road was blamed for a rollover wreck in Washington Township, Lawrence County. Robert L. Brandl III, 25, of Mercer was traveling down a hill on Route 208 when his pickup truck slid onto its side and rolled over near Fassinger Lane.
