Louisville player breaks neck
LOUISVILLE — Louisville coach Charlie Strong says cornerback Anthony Conner broke his neck when his head hit the knee of Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu but he isn’t paralyzed.
Conner was carted off the field Friday night after going down on the first play of the second quarter.
The coach found out about the severity of the injury during a timeout late in Louisville’s 16-14 win.
