One person has died following a collision between a car and a flatbed truck in Venango Township on Friday, June 12.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Oneida Valley Road and Woods Road, and was first reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Butler County Emergency Service dispatch reports indicated that at least one person was entrapped as a result of the crash.

According to a dispatcher, two medical helicopters were requested to the scene, but both were canceled.

Dispatch reports indicate that resuscitation efforts took place, but were halted around 6 p.m.

It is currently unknown whether any other individuals sustained injuries or required hospitalization as a result of the crash.

Superior Ambulance, Emlenton Area Ambulance Service, Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department, Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department and North Washington Volunteer Fire Department all assisted in the emergency response. A state police unit was also dispatched to the scene.

As of 6:45 p.m. Friday, Oneida Valley Road is closed about a half mile south of Woods Road.
