Darrell “Butch” Bloom, 86, of Clarendon, Pa., formerly of Prospect and Evans City, in Butler County, passed away peacefully Friday evening June 5, 2026, at the Snyder Memorial Home in Marienville, Pa.

He was born May 31, 1940, in Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, the son of the late Floyd Bloom and Betty (McMillen) Bloom.

In Darrell’s earlier years, he was a diesel mechanic. He owned his own repair garage, as well as his own truck, hauling for numerous people and various loads. He was Protestant by faith. He retired from 422 Auto Auction in Butler County. He thoroughly enjoyed going to auto and NASCAR races. He was a humble man who enjoyed going out to eat and taking rides with his faithful wife, Carol.

Left behind to cherish Darrell's memory are his wife, Carol (Tyson) Bloom, at home; one son, Thomas (Dee) Bloom; two daughters, Karen (Terry) Cunningham and Becky (Darren) Kaelin; and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by many good friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a daughter.

BLOOM — A graveside inurnment service for Darrell “Butch” Bloom, who died Friday, June 5, 2026, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Mount Nebo Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1236 Prospect Road, Prospect, with Pastor Jason Sinagra, of the Prospect Presbyterian Church, presiding.

A luncheon will follow at Prospect Presbyterian Church, 115 Church St., Prospect.

Memorial donations in Darrell’s memory may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, or the Paws Along the River Humane Society, 212 Elm St., Warren, PA 16365.
