The Slippery Rock University women’s basketball team snapped a six-game losing skid Monday with a 66-52 victory over the University of Charleston.

Danielle Smith had 19 points, six rebounds, two steals and two assists, while Jasmine Cooper added 17 points and 10 rebounds and Erinne Cunningham 17 points and six boards.

Paris Thomas tallied nine assists for The Rock (2-7).

Men’s Basketball

Devin Taylor had 11 points and 12 rebounds and Jon Valeriano added 11 points on Monday, but SRU fell 66-61 to Chestnut Hill.

Chestnut Hill used a 16-4 run over the final 5:30 to pull out the win.

Aubin Reeves chipped in 10 points and Tabari Perry added nine points and 10 rebounds for SRU (5-4).
