Charles Becker Jr.
Charles J. Becker Jr., 84, of Penn Township, Butler, passed away Sunday morning, June 7, 2026, in the comfort of his home with his wife at his side.
Born March 1, 1942, in Bloomfield, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Sr. and Florence Crawford Becker.
Chuck’s family moved to Wexford in 1956 and he attended North Allegheny High School. In 1959, he joined the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963 from the USS Valley Forge, an aircraft carrier.
He then worked at Valley Rolls — a division of Herr Voss in Callery, Pa. Chuck had worked forty years there and became manager.
Chuck loved to work out in his gym and sit with his son Chucky and go over stocks until the dementia took over. He also loved to go fishing with his son, John, especially in Maine.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Teri Geiger Becker, whom he married Oct. 26, 1968; two sons, Charles Becker III and his wife, Margie, of Renfrew, and John J. Becker, of Butler; his grandchildren, Nichole Emerick (James) and Dustin Becker; his great-grandchildren, Abram, Jesse and Evvi; and a sister-in-law, Twila, of Murrells Inlet, S.C. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bell, Jackie and Reggie were his fur babies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry, and his sister, Cheryl.
The family would like to thank Lutheran Senior Life nurses, aides and staff for their caring and daily care of Chuck. They have helped tremendously through all of this.
