Steroid use
Jake - your assertion is flawed. Professional athletes profit from the
perception that their talent is natural and honed. This is not an argument of
individual rights, but rather integrity, and does not affect Amesh's position at all.
Professional athletes' drug use has little consequence so long as the sports
consumer is willing to condone such behavior by continuing to put money in
their pockets. Titles only have as much meaning as they imply to those who
actually care and are hardly on par with civil liberities. If you feel that certain
sports figures have "ill-gotten" gains, then boycott. Suggest that those who are clean not tolerate steroid use. But not confuse this scenario with reality and individual rights.
