Throughout the month of June, all three state parks serving Butler County — Moraine and McConnells Mill State Parks, as well as Jennings Environmental Education Center — are participating in a statewide “Bio Blitz.” During the month, park visitors are invited to document as many species of plant and animal as they can.

Participants are asked to download the iNaturalist app for their smartphone and use the app to take snapshots and record observations of every species they find — from plants to birds to insects to aquatic life.
