Two Mars Area Centennial School students competed in the International Academic Competitions national championships May 21 to 25, held in Orlando, Fla.

Fifth-grader Noah Bergdahl advanced to a tiebreaker round for the quarterfinals in both the National Geography Bee and National History Bee.

Fifth-grader Jane Lyons also competed in the National Science Bee.

The students qualified for the national championships at a regional competition held in January at Allegheny Intermediate Unit.
