Buffalo Township reopens municipal building after renovations
After a renovation that lasted nearly a year, Buffalo Township’s employees and police department have officially moved back into the municipal building on Bear Creek Road.
“We have moved back into the building,” said Buffalo Township manager Rich Hill.
Work on the renovation began in December 2025. The facility houses Buffalo Township employees, as well as the Buffalo Township Police Department. The renovation, carried out by Moret Construction, will cost the township at least $1.8 million, with $1.3 million coming from COVID-era emergency grant funding.
During the renovation, township meetings were held at the building of the nearby Municipal Authority of Buffalo Township, a separate agency. According to Hill, although employees have moved back into the township building, this month’s meetings will still be held at the authority’s building.
During the renovation, township employees and the police department worked out of a pair of trailers stationed in the parking lot of the municipal building. Hill said the trailers will be removed this week.
