Butler Police11:28 a.m. Saturday — Michael P. Kurtzhals, 36, who is homeless, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Kimberly Martin, during a domestic dispute in a wooded area in the city’s Clay Hills area where the couple had been living.Kurtzhals is accused of pushing Martin to the ground and throwing a baseball at her. The ball hit her in the upper left arm, causing a lump and bruising.He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.4 a.m. Saturday — Robert P. Kummer, 45, of Clay Township was arrested on charges he punched an ex-girlfriend during a domestic dispute at her home on the 400 block of Virginia Avenue. The alleged victim suffered bruising around her left eye.Kummer, who is charged with simple assault, is free on his own recognizance.Thursday — An unidentified red vehicle struck the passenger side door of a car at the home of a 21-year-old man on the 200 block of West North Street. The unknown driver did not stop after the crash.

State Police, Kittanning10:30 p.m. Friday — A 23-year-old Freeport man faces charges after a suspected hit-and-run crash in South Buffalo Township. Police said Derek G. McCanch lost control of his westbound car on Mcville Road and rolled over one time. The car ended along the embankment on the north side of the road facing east.McCanch fled the scene, leaving his damaged and undrivable vehicle behind, according to a police report.

State Police, Mercer8:07 p.m. Tuesday — Megan E. Maglicocca, 22, of Slippery Rock lost control of her cargo van and spun into two trees along North Liberty Road just north of Airport Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County.4 p.m. Sunday — Katrina L. Jeffries, 27, of Pittsburgh swerved her car to avoid another vehicle in her lane and struck a guardrail on Route 258 in Springfield Township.8:27 a.m. Monday — Anthony J. Riddle. 31, of Grove City lost control of his car and crashed in a ditch on Route 208 just east of Eastgate Industrial Park Drive in Pine Township, Mercer County.

State Police, New CastleMonday — A burglar stole two all-terrain vehicles worth a combined $6,500 from a garage at a 52-year-old man’s home on Mill Bridge Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.The stolen ATVs include a red 2012 Honda TRX420 and a yellow 2004 Honda TRX250.The break-in and theft happened between Jan. 10 and Monday. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.
