Iron Bucks get 3-2 win

Slippery Rock University’s Cam Panyko made a catch of a line drive while heading toward the warning track in the eighth inning Thursday night at Pullman Park, preserving the Butler Iron Bucks’ 3-2 win over the Black Sox.

The Black Sox had runners at second and third at the time.

Matt Ranallo had the game-winning hit — a pinch-hit double — in the Tri-State Collegiate Baseball League game.

Greg Geis was the winning pitcher, striking out two in 1.1 innings of relief. Iron Bucks starter Robby Randolph scattered seven hits in working 6.1 innings.

Brayden Cartwright had a double and single, Ben Kosbie two RBI and Brent Creehan two runs scored for the Iron Bucks, who play a pair of doubleheaders at Creekside over the weekend.
